Most of you guys have probably heard of this band before, be it by playing Tony Hawk or just growing up on punk music in the 90s.
I am of course talking about Millencolin. A pioneer in modern punk. Combining skate punk with pop.
Formed in 1992, this band has released 7 studio albums and 1 complication album.
The band name is derived from a skateboard trick called Melancholy.
Shortly after the band gained success, they made an annual skateboarding competition called the Millencolin Open in Örebro, Sweden.
The band consists of:
Nikola Sarcevic - bass, lead vocals
Mathias färm - guitar, backing vocals
Erik Ohlsson - guitar, backing vocals
Fredrik Larzon - drums
Recommended albums: Life on a Plate, Some Old Tunes, Pennybridge Pioneers, Kingwood and Machine 15.

Nearly two years, after 215 concerts in over 45 countries, Metallica have decided that its time to record the followup to their highly successful 2008 album, Death Magnetic.
In an interview Lars Ulrich told the Danish tabloid "Ekstra Bladet":
"There's a really good vibe in the band at the moment. In the past, we would be fed up with Metallica whenever we returned home after a gigantic world tour, but this time it's different. I think that we'll probably get the creative process going in March or April and go into the studio."
Personally, I'm stoked for this. I really enjoy everything they've done, including St.Anger. I doubt they will fail to impress!

I was browsing youtube the other day, and stumbled upon this video of a gummybear dancing.
The comment that had the most positive ratings was "At least its better than bieber"
Now what the hell does that mean? What the fuck has Bieber got to do with anything?
Biebers music is manufactured just like everyone else in this industry.
Justin Bieber is a 16 year old pop artist that was lucky enough to get noticed by some well-established pop artists.
Months later after being discovered he was a sensasion among teenage girls.
Now obviously, when you get that much fame, you're bound to get haters, but when I see people over 16 years old saying hateful stuff/mocking others for liking bieber, then theres something really wrong with people.
At least Bieber can sing, compared to nearly everyone else thats doing what he does.
I remember being 12 and only listening to what my friends would listen to while being ashamed of my personal taste in music because I was an insecure piece of shit.
You'd think this would change by the time you venture into adulthood (16), but sadly it doesn't.
Instead you see those people that openly go around liking stuff that is hated by their peers (AKA hipsters), just so they can have some sense of uniqueness and self-worth.
But guess what asshole? your just as unique and retarded as anyone else.
Listen to what you want and shut the fuck up.

If you have any good taste in music, you must listen to this. Progressive metal at its best IMO. Vocals are just plain awesome, both on screams and clean. Instrumentals are br00tal and technically superb all throughout the song.
If this is your first time listening to this band, you're in for a treat.

This weeks mini review is of a band I never even knew existed, Kid Liberty. They came out with their debut album Fight With Your Fists august 2010.
These guys mix pop-punk with metal influenced riffs and hardcore breakdowns/vocals better than most.
They are far above average technically when compared to other bands in this "pop-core" genre, but very cheesy at times lyrically. The vocals reminds me of Four Year Strong, but they're not quite that good, yet.
The Winds of War is a good intro, but doesn't really fit on this album at all. The song Keep On Pushin' is a typical upbeat pop-punk song with cool riffing, but the vocals just doesn't cut it, nor does the lyrics.
The highlights of this album is definitely I'm right here, The Situation, I'm Not A Person Anymore... I'm A Turtle and That's what she said.
1. The Winds Of War
2. I'm Right Here
3. Keep On Pushin'
4. Telephone Toughguy
5. Fight With Your Fists
6. Coolguy Deluxe
7. The New Recipe
8. The Situation
9. I'm Not A Person Anymore... I'm A Turtle
10. Twelve More Days
11. That's What She Said
12. This Is A Stickup!
Overall this is a good pop-punk album, better than most, but not one of the best. Definitely check these guys out if you're a fan of Four Year Strong, A Day To Remember, Set Your Goals or Blink 182.
